Orange County Chavivim Helps Woodbury PD Secure a Displaced Manhole Cover
Featured units: KJ-25 KJ-47 KJ-52 KJ-57
A manhole cover shifted out of place on a cold, slushy night in Woodbury. Woodbury Police Department called for backup, and our members rolled in alongside the responding officers to lock the scene down before any vehicle hit it.
A Hidden Hazard at Night
A loose or out-of-place manhole cover doesn't look like much from a distance — until a tire catches it. On a winter night with melting snow on the road, it's the kind of small problem that turns into a big one fast.
Cones Up, Lane Closed
Our members worked with the responding Woodbury PD officers to ring the manhole with traffic cones, redirect cars away from the displaced cover, and keep the area clear while the cover was repositioned and secured.
Working with Woodbury PD
This is the kind of mutual-aid call that doesn't make the news — a quiet stretch of road, a small team, a problem solved before anyone even noticed it was there. The pattern is consistent: PD calls, we show up, the road gets safe again.
Big thank-you to the Woodbury Police Department for the trust and the partnership. Local law enforcement agencies have a dedicated supervisor line to reach Chavivim directly for mutual aid. We'll keep answering the radio.
