NYS Assembly Candidate Tom Lapolla Visits Chavivim HQ in Kiryas Joel

Republican Assembly nominee Tom Lapolla — running in the 99th Assembly District to represent the Jewish communities of Kiryas Joel and Monroe — stopped by Orange County Chavivim headquarters in Kiryas Joel.

A Walkthrough of the Operation

Coordinators walked Lapolla through what the division actually does on a typical week — emergency roadside assistance, search-and-rescue, child lockouts, storm and flood response, event coverage, and the mutual-aid work that ties everything together.

A Look at the Fleet

The visit included a walk-around of the division's emergency response vehicles — the equipment behind every call, day and night.

"The Great Work Chavivim Volunteers Do 24/7"

Lapolla, a retired FDNY Battalion Chief with 38 years of service in New York City, framed his campaign around public safety and law and order. He used the visit to recognize the volunteer-side of emergency response that operates alongside — and in partnership with — local police, fire, and EMS agencies.

Chavivim's work is non-partisan — we host visitors from across the political spectrum and from agencies at every level of government. The mission is the same regardless of who's at the door: when someone calls, someone comes.
